Frequently Asked Questions
- 01Judgment Recovery is the process of collecting money from debtors who have been court ordered to pay a creditor. We are ready to assist you, the creditor, with enforcing your court judgment through various legal methods.
- 02Very Easily: An agreement outlining the specifics of the purchase of your judgment is created between you, the creditor, and us.(Ex. payout %). You, the creditor, then assigns the judgment to us making us the Assignee Of Record. We then file the newly assigned judgment and appropriate documents with the court. Once approved by the court, we are now the creditor and have the legal right to investigate the debtor and proceed with enforcing the judgment. When funds are recovered from the debtor, we will make payment to you per our agreement.
- 03We charge no application or up-front fees. We assume all expenses involved in locating the debtor's assets and the enforcement process. Our actual fee is a percentage of what we recover.
- 04Individuals with a judgment of $2500 or more. Landlords who won a money judgment against their tenant (Ex. evictions). Small businesses that were awarded a judgment against their customer/patient. (Ex. Daycare, Mechanics, Used Car Dealers, Doctors, Dentist, Chiropractors, etc.)
- 05Each case is different and depends on the ease or difficulty in locating the debtor to uncover his/her assets. Some debtors are quite skillful at hiding their assets and appear to live without any means of support. This is where our expertise comes in. Also time changes all circumstances, and in some cases, it may be necessary to "wait out the debtor" until his/her circumstances change, allowing us to recover on the judgment. Remember too, it is in OUR best interests to recover the judgment in full (plus interest) as quickly as possible. We only get paid once we recover the funds!
- 06We will do our due diligence in locating the debtor's assets and collecting the money owed. In the unlikely event we are not successful, we will simply return the judgment back to you.
- 07Simply complete the online form and we will contact you OR Call (716) 324-1914 and provide us with the information requested on the form.
